Re: Jef Stott New Album and Free Download
Tue, April 22, 2008 - 12:32 PMWonderful album--the diversity in the tracks reflects on the rich musical background of the artists involved. Already dancing to Medina Stepper, Sono, Blissmillah and absolutely love how they each have a different tempo and make use of different native musical instruments from Moroccan to Turkish, and feature singers from Tunisia to Persia!
Even the new versions of the tracks off the Souk Sonik ep have an extra oomph, especially Saracen with Hooman Fadly's vocals that resonate in this fan's consciousness, not to the mention the latest incarnation of Lamaset featuring the amazing Reda Darwish on both Egyptian tabla and vocals, another delightful dance number!
Congratulations Jef Stott and Six Degrees Records ~*~
