I was flipping thru tv channels when something caught my eye. An obviously ethno-techno music video, and on the upper left side of the screen it said Nat Geo TV. I knew I had the National Geographic channel, but Nat Geo Music?
And the video I saw turned out to be Joi's Asian Vibes.
Which was followed by Sandra Luna's Carrito Cartonero which almost made me dance a tango in my living room, awesome!
And guess what clip they're playing now? Pakistani sufi singer Abida Parveen's Tere Ishq Nachaya! Followed by Brazilian pagode singer Paulinho da Viola's Talisman. Too cool!!! :D

Mon, July 7, 2008 - 5:16 PMIsn't it? I was channel surfing as a quick remedy for caffeine-induced insomnia and ended up staying awake to watch it. LOL ;D
And in between video clips, they showed little snippets of world music-related cultural stuff like a tango cantobar where ordinary folks got to get up on stage to sing their fave songs to a live accordionist (kinda like karaoke with an accordionist :)
